Recently it's hard to read the newspaper, or listen to the news on the radio, or watch the news on television or even for that matter look on the Internet in the business section and not hear and read about corporate mergers. Hello, I'm Robert Todd and I'm here to answer, how do corporations make mergers. Well I think it's important to know first of all that a merger occurs when one corporation is combined with and disappears, that is merged, with another corporation. It's also important to know that there are specific state statues governing specific types of mergers and there are also specific federal statutes that govern specific types of mergers. And if you are involved with a merger we strongly recommend that you seek legal counsel from lawyers that specialize in mergers. This is one area of the law that is very complex and very comprehensive and if you don't know what you're doing you can get in a lot of trouble. I'm Robert Todd, and thank you for watching.
