"You and a business associate have decided to do some business together but you think perhaps it would be a good idea to reduce this agreement to writing. Hello, I'm Robert Todd and I'm here to answer the question how do I create a contract? Well, if this is something important to you and its something you've never done, you may to consider employing the services of an attorney to review what you and your business associate are contemplating doing. This is a minimal expense and to provide you with preventative advice and keep you out of trouble rather than doing something yourself, putting it together and then running into trouble and then having to hire a lawyer for what we call remedial advice which is to try and get you out of that which you have already miscued or misinterpreted. But if you are going to try and draft an agreement, you want to make sure its in writing, that you date it, that you identify the parties, what the parties are going to be doing and for what consideration and in what time period. And that's how you create a contract. I'm Robert Todd and thank you for watching."
