"You and a business associate have decided you want to go into business together and you want to form a Limited Liability Company or an LLC. Hello, I'm Robert Todd and I'm here to answer the question how do you form an LLC? Well one of the first things you're going to do is to try and choose a business name that complies with your particular state's LLC laws. When you pick that name, you're probably going to have to register a fictitious name and you're going to have to know how to file for your fictitious name for your LLC. You're also going to have to file formal paper work with regard to articles of organization and of course each state has different requirements for that so you want to ascertain what your particular state requires. There's also a filing fee associated with filing the articles of organization. And perhaps a good idea would be to contact the local office of the small business administration that is closest to your business to find out from them what particular licenses and registrations you're going to need to operate this LLC in your particular locale. I'm Robert Todd and thank you for watching."
