"So you're wondering what teeth implants are? Well my name is Michelle and I'm a Dental Assistant with Solutionz. And I'm here to explain to you on what teeth implants are. Basically, what an implant is, is basically it's a form of a tooth, mainly implants are made out of titanium steel. So basically what they do is they place the implants down in your bone. They close it up with stitches, depending on what type of implant it is, they let that sit there for about four to six months of what we call as the healing time process for the bone to kind of regenerate in that area, kind of grow and adhere to the implant. Then after four or six months, you would go back to see your general dentist and he would actually place a metal post down in the implant. This post is sticking in the implant and the other half is sticking above your gum; so which in return your dentist can re-fabricate a crown to go on top of that. It's pretty much simple to process, it does take, it's time consuming as far as the whole healing process and actual procedure of it, but mainly, you know, dental implants are another great form of restoring your mouth so therefore you don't have to drill on virgin teeth. And once again, my name is Michelle and I just explained to you what dental implants are."
