How to Make the Homestead Mixed Drink

"Today I am going to demonstrate how to make a Homestead. Now, a Homestead is a variation off of a gin martini. So, you are going to start with your ice in your sixteen ounce mixing glass. And then, you are going to put in two parts of gin. We are using a well gin. I recommend Tanqueray or another high end gin where your gin is your base, but this is for demonstration purposes. To one part sweet vermouth. Basically for this we are going to do two ounces to one ounce. So; one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight will give you your two ounce pour. To; one, two, three, and four will give you your one ounce pour. Then, you are going to get your cocktail glass ready. Mix your ingredients and shake. And then, strain with your Hawthorne strainer directly into your martini glass. Do not forget your cocktail straw and that is your Homestead cocktail."
