"OK, so let's take a look at playing the eighth note rock beat pattern, with the bass drum on one, on three, as well as the end of three. Here's how it looks and sounds. OK, let's slow this down, break apart, and really get to know what's going on here. Course, there's eighth notes on the hi hat. One, and two, and three, and four, and. Back beat on the snare, beat three. One, two, three, four, one, two, three, four, one, two, three, four. OK. Bass drum on one and three. So the first bass drum. The beginning of the measure. Second bass drum with the snare drum. And then we're also adding a bass drum hit on the end of three which is directly after the snare hit. I'll play it one more time for you."
