"Hi, this is Yvonne Chow from the BLADE Dance Academy in New York City. In this clip, we're going to talk about how to dress for breaking. Now, if you're breaking in the streets, you definitely want to wear some type of hat on your head to make sure that you're protecting your head if you want to do any types of spins. You also want to wear some type of glove or wrist protection so that you are securing your joint, your wrist joints, because there's a lot of pressure that goes into that. Otherwise, you want to wear some loose-fitting type clothes. So for example, you want to wear some baggy type of sweat pants so that you have a lot of mobility. You want to wear sneakers that will give you a good type of pressure on the ground, and also any type of shirt that you can move around in. You never want to wear tight-fitting clothes; you want to wear loose clothes to make sure that you have a large range of motion in what you're doing. You also want to wear your hair back to make sure that, if you're doing any types of spins anything, you don't want to have your hair in your face because that can be a danger to any of the movements that you're doing."
