Video Transcript

"Hi my name is Dr. Art Bowler and I am a psychologist at Manhattan New York City where I have my own private practice. In this clip I'm going to tell you about how you can reduce stress in your life. I like to think about reducing stress in your life as a way you can slide through stress. Slide is actually an acronym for stop, listen, identify the triggers, decide what you are going to do and then evaluate whether or not your decisions and problem solving has worked. If you slide through stress by stopping, identifying what the stressor is, whether it is work, family, job, relationships, identify those triggers, decide what you want to do in terms of taking action and then evaluate that action plan, you will find that your stress level is markedly reduced. It is really difficult to overcome stress as a whole in your life because stress is a part of life and you also don't want to be zoned out so much that you don't experienced any stress because stress helps us to motivate. In turn learning to deal with stress can be a very helpful thing to do. This is Dr. Art Bowler and this has been how to reduce stress in your everyday life."
