Video Transcript

"Hi my name is Dr. Art Bowler and I am a psychologist at Manhattan New York City where I have my own private practice. In this clip we are going to talk about how to relieve stress at work. Work is inherently stressful but it is something that we need to do to pay our bills and live in the world today but there are things that we can do to help us relieve that stress. First try to find a job that is less stressful if your job is really stressful. I always think problem solving and getting out of a situation that is stressful is the best thing that you can do. However, if you can't do that because of your job or the economy I suggest taking a break at lunch, get out of the office, do something fun, go out to lunch, eat in a park, visit a friend, that hour can really make up for the stressful day. Also get social support and ventilate your feelings about work. Talking about the situation at work or the people at work that make it stressful can really help you help yourself. In work we also are able to find joy, try to find a job that brings you that joy. This is Dr. Art Fuller and this has been how to overcome stress at work."
