"Hi, my name is Dr. Art Bowler, and I'm a psychologist in Manhattan, New York City, where I have my own private practice. In this clip, we're going to talk about how to handle a narcissist. A narcissist, somebody who is all about themselves. I'm sure you know one or two, or maybe even work for one. Having a narcissist in your life can be extremely draining, and very unfulfilling, so my first advice for you in dealing with a narcissist, is to try to avoid the relationship. A narcissist has little to no empathy, and little to no ability to take your perspective on any situation,so if you don't agree with a narcissist, you basically don't exist, so my advice is to minimize any contacts. If the narcissist is your boss, try to find a way to agree with a part of what they're saying, but then also say, I wonder if you thought about this, or that, allowing it to be almost their idea, because then maybe you'll get your voice heard. Otherwise with a narcissist, because they're so self involved, it can be very difficult to find your own way. This has been a really difficult situation for many people, especially in occupations, so I recommend using these tips. This is Dr. Art Bowler, and this has been how to deal with a narcissist."
