"You know when making a movie there are a lot of important people involved. My name is Paul Louis, I'm an actor and today I'm going to talk to you about how to be an extra in a movie. You know there is a lot of people involved in a production. There are camera men, there are producers, there are writers, there are grips. All of the production assistants, somebody who goes unnoticed many times is the extra. And you can be an extra in movies, TV, commercials. The way to go about doing it basically is to find an agent who specializes in extra work. Because when movies come to town, they need extras. Most of the time. You can be one of those extras and you can make a good living at it. Depending if it's union, nonunion work if you are a member of the screen actors guild, you will make more money then a person who's an extra, who's not a member of the screen actors guild. So again you know find an agent in your town that specializes in extra work. And you can be working almost every day. And sometimes it can be really fun, you get to wear neat costumes every now and then. Once in a while you may get upgraded to an actor who gets to speak a line or two. Which then in turn can give you a residuals if you are a member of the screen actors guild. So again find an agent in your area who specializes in work for actors who want to do extra work in TV, movies and film. That's how you become an extra in a movie.
