"Hi, I'm Paul Louis, I'm an actor. I'm here in New York City and today I'm going to show you how to choose a song for musical theater. OK, so you're auditioning for that big musical, but you don't have a proper song to audition with. Well, how do you get the right song? Well, there are tons of ways. First of all, if you don't have a huge library, the inter-net is always your best resource. Go on line, Google musical theater songs, audition pieces, you'll find tons of sheet music free, actually, free music. You'll find MP3's that you can download, sometimes for free, sometimes not for free. Depends, if they're share files or not. But don't, you know, don't do anything illegal, download music that you have to pay for, don't infringe on any body's copyright. One other thing that you can do, if you're in a big city, like New York City, you can check out the Lincoln Center Library. There's tons of music there, that you can listen to. You can make copies of the sheet music, you can borrow the sheet music, take it with you, learn the song, and you'll learn a brand new song for your next audition. If you are in New York City, a great place to find music, is the Colony Music Store, right here on Broadway and Forty-ninth Street. They have everything here, from shows from, the nineteen forties, thirties, to current Broadway shows. I'm going to go in and check it out. OK, so we're here at the Colony Music Store in New York City, and I'm surrounded by some great sheet music. Let's see, we've got a current hit show on Broadway, Spring Awakening. There's some beautiful, beautiful songs in this show right here, for your next audition. We've also got, how about a cult show, like the Rocky Horror Show? That has some great rock 'n roll music. We've got Peter Pan, Disney, Never-land, Mama Mia, Mary Poppins, you name it. Lame as a Rob, that's some great stuff right over there. We've also got some turn of the century types of sheet music, down there, from the, you know, nineteen hundreds, and nineteen twenties. So, again, the Colony Music Store, a great resource if you're in New York City, for your next musical theater audition. This is Paul Louis and this has been how to find the right song for your musical theater audition."
