I'm an actor here in New York City and today I'm going to show you how to sing. So, how do you become a singer? You practice, practice, practice. Get familiar with other vocalists out there. Listen to songs. Go to the library. Research music. Research different styles of music. Then sit there and practice, practice, practice. Practice some singing scales. (demonstrates scales) Find a vocal coach. Find someone that can coach you on a regular basis so that your instrument is always, always its best. Go on Google, do some research about singing in general, okay? If you can't afford voice lessons, there's tons of how to videos out there where you can learn from professionals. The best way though is to actually go out there and do shows and network with other singers and learn from them. Again, the whole one on one, personal experience is invaluable. So, go out there, learn to sing. If you're passionate about it, do it everyday and sooner or later, you'll be singing with the best of them. This has been Paul Louis and this has been How to Sing.
