"Hi, my name is Guillermo Gomez, I coach youth soccer. And today, I'll be talking to you about how to do an out swerve kick. What's an out swerve? An out swerve is actually when the ball curves, going to the outside. So the difference between an out swerve and an in swerve is what part of the foot was used to kick the ball. In swerve, we'd use the inside part of our foot. Out swerve, we actually use the exterior part of our feet to kick the ball. So more towards the side of the shoelaces. So what you want to do, is, you're going to stand about three steps behind the ball, assuming that we're taking a stationary shot. Okay? Look at the ball, okay? And as you look at it, you want to kick it towards the middle, but towards the side of the ball, not in the...so again we kick it in the equator line, but not in the middle of the ball, towards the side of the ball. Okay? So as we approach the ball, okay, we come forward to it. We lock our ankle, point your toes down. We put our supporting foot right next to the ball, okay, pointing our toes in the direction when the ball....we want the ball to go, okay? And then we take a forward motion, bringing our chest down, the leg comes up, pointing our toes down. And kick the ball. If I kick it with my right, I'm going to kick the ball on the left side of the ball. If I kick it with my left, I'm going to kick the ball on the left...on the right side of the ball. Okay? So that's how you would do an out swerve in soccer."
