"My name is Guillermo Gomez, I coach here soccer and today we're talking to you about how to know soccer positions. Well, we start with the defender. Defenders have the responsibility of stopping the attackers, stop the play. The wingers push the attackers to the outside and defenders put a lot of pressure on the attackers to make sure they never turn their back and face the goal because if they do that, then it's easier for a striker or forward to try to go past the defender. Mid-fielders which are the players in the middle of the field try to penetrate most of the time. They are the ones constantly moving back and forth across the field and the mid-fielders' responsibility is to pass the ball into the forwards. Then we move into the attackers, strikers, sometimes they're known as the strikers. The strikers role is to score goals and also to be able to use wingers, the left or right mid-fielders to set them up for different plays. All this is are tactics planned by coaches."
