"Hi, good afternoon. This is Aaron Hale, coming to your from Fitness for Life in Wilmington, North Carolina. The topic today is how to become a dietitian. There's really only one of three ways to become a dietitian. And it starts with a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in this country. If...you can have a bachelor's degree in dietitian, or it can be a...a science degree with a post-graduate or master's degree in diet. So those are the three ways to become a dietitian, which makes it a little bit more different than a...than a nutritionist. The levels of...the requirements necessary, the prerequisites to become a dietitian are much stricter than they are to become a....than they are to become a nutritionist. In fact, almost anybody can consider themselves a nutritionist and not have any educational background in the field whatsoever. So, the bar is set a little higher for the dietitian than it is the nutritionist. And that's how to become a dietitian.
