"Hi this is Aaron Hill at Fitness for Life in Wilmington, North Carolina here to tell you a little bit about cardio workouts including a little weight training. What we want to do is we want to be able to find what our aerobic heart rate is. That changes by the person for what their resting heart rate is up to what their maximum heart rate is. Once we determine what our aerobic heart rate is then we can kind of work on sketching out or drawing out a workout plan to where we are able to keep our heart rate between or in that aerobic rate or that aerobic capacity. For the average person that is typically between 125 and 165 beats per minute so once we have established what our aerobic heart rate is then like I said we can draw out the work out. Typically for a cardio workout including weights it is going to be something that is very low weight or low intensity, very high volume sort of work out. So like I said determine what your aerobic heart rate is and your aerobic capacity. If you are able to raw out a work out to where you are keeping that heart rate in between 125 or 165 for an average person keeping it right there in that aerobic capacity, incorporate that weight training and have a good work out and that's the word here from Fitness for Life."
