"Hi, I'm Amelia, and I'm going to talk to you about how to choose a formal hairstyle. When searching for a formal hairstyle or trying to make a decision on one, you always want to first figure out what you need it for. Is this for a wedding, a prom, or just some formal evening? Then figure out what dress you're going to wear because the neckline is going to make a big difference. If it's strapless, you can get away with something down or up. If you have a high neck dress, then you're definitely going to want something with your hair up. So, a lot of it is going to depend on your dress and of course, the color, just everything about the evening. Now, choosing a formal hairstyle also is your own personal preference. Some women don't like their hair up, so of course, you don't have to do that, there's always half up, half down, there's side ponytails, and we've really gotten away from the super extravagant hairstyles, a lot of them are a lot loose, very beachy, a lot of waves, very natural looking. A lot of it also depends on the area of the country that you're in. If you're at the coast, the designs tend to be a lot more easy and laid back. If you're in a high city atmosphere, then the designs do tend to be a lot more formal, and a lot more strict and severe. So, first figure out your dress, the evening and then your own personal taste and all of those things will come into play when choosing a formal style for your evening."
