"HI, I'm Amelia, and I'm going to help you choose a shampoo for fine hair. When looking for a shampoo for fine hair, you want to make sure that you're looking for certain products. Anything that talks about wheat proteins, or anything with the word protein. Fine hair tends to lack protein, whereas, thicker, courser hair tends to lack moisture naturally. So, when you're looking for a shampoo, always make sure that you're trying to add what the hair lacks. This is an excellent example of a shampoo for fine hair, this is by Alterna, it's the volume restore conditioner and shampoo, it is sulfate free which means it lacks a lot of the soaps and detergents that a lot of the harsher shampoos do have. It also has wheat proteins and ammino acids in it. You're also going to be looking for anything that talks about B Vitamins, or Panthenol, all of these things coat the hair shaft, and in coating the hair shaft, it helps make it appear and feel thicker. Now, one thing you do need to get away from is some volumizing shampoos, they can fade the color, just because of their make up. What they do, is they go in and they actually swell the hair shaft and in doing so, that's making it appear thicker. When the hair shaft is swelled, those cuticle layers are opened, so the color can wash down the drain. So, just make sure that when you're looking for a shampoo, for fine hair, if your hair is colored, be sure it's safe for color treated hair. A lot of them are, but it will state on the bottle, "safe for color treated hair." You're going to want to be looking again, for proteins, lipids, panthenol, B vitamins, those type of things to help plump up that hair shaft. And, that's what you can look for, when searching for a shampoo for fine hair."
