"Hi I'm Kim with Simply Beautiful in Austin, Texas. We're going to talk about how to do great makeup. Great makeup starts with a great base of skin care. So you want to cleanse, tone, and moisturize your skin before you go on to your concealer, foundation, eyeshadow, blush, and lipstick. I want to say to you that great makeup starts with great brushes. If you have really good brushes then you'll do a really good job. So we're going to just start by using some concealer around the eye. Pat it in the dark circle underneath your eye. Close please. Over the eye because concealer will bring out your eyes, make them pop, and also acts as an eyeshadow base. If you want to you can buy an eyeshadow base it'll help the eyeshadow stay on longer. Once the concealer is applied and blended into your skin, you're going to take your foundation which matches your skin as closely as you can, dab it, dot it around your face. Take a cosmetic sponge or a brush, we love foundation brushes, and just blend. Blend all those dots together. Make sure you sweep it underneath your jawline, and get it up into your hairline. Let's not have any foundation lines. Take your biggest, fluffiest brush and your compact powder, you can use loose powder here as well, tap it off, sweep it over the face. The next and what I think of is really an important step is your eyeshadow. We're going to use three different colors of eyeshadow. Starting with the lightest color. And sweeping from the lash line to the brow line. So this covers your entire lid. In this way we're going to bring out the eye and set the foundation for the style. We're going to use our second color which is a more neutral color or second shade. Bring it in to the crease of the eye and a little bit above the crease of the eye. Blending it out. Sweep, blend. Your darkest shade and your finest brush you're going to get that on there, tap it out. Sweep it along your lash line, you're going to use this instead of liner, instead of pencil liner. And you're going to get a nice defined look without creating a harshness. We're going to take that same color. Look up please Megan. And we're going to sweep along the bottom of the lash. Giving yourself a lined bottom without it being too defined. It's just a nice soft look. Next we'll take our mascara. You'll choose your lengthening, thickening, or lengthening and thickening. Nowadays they even have pearly. Top down and then bottom up. Not this. Just straight up, straight down. Look up. Hit it a little bit on the bottom lashes, just a couple of touches. Pick our blush. I like the flat blush brush. Apple of the cheek, start there. That's where you want the most. Bring up to your nose, your cheeks, and your chin. Sweep it around make sure you're blending it. You're going to follow that up with a lip liner. Just to define your lips and make them stand out. But you want pick a color that's neutral. And last, but not least, we're going to go with a lipstick in a neutral color, something that complements the eye color. If you're going with bronzes, go with a bronze lip. And you're going to sweep it on. I love lip brushes because it gives you lots of control. Blend that lipstick into the liner and you'll have a perfect lip. That's how to do great makeup."
