"Hi I'm Kim from Simply Beautiful in Austin, Texas. Let's talk about how to apply makeup to green eyes. Green eyes, if you're lucky enough to have green eyes, it's very special. Contrary to popular belief green eyeshadow is not the way to go. Some of the better colors for green eyes are plums and purples, you want to go with golds, and even a little bit of maybe a turquoise. Something that just highlights the eyes. So using your standard regimen, skin care, moisturizer, concealer, foundation, the ones that match your skin, the ones that you do everyday. We're going to use three different colors of eyeshadow. One our lightest shade of maybe a lavender. So we're going to use a little gold though. We're going to pat it on the eye, bring it up above the brow bone, sweep it from the lash to the brow bone, and blend with our biggest brush. Using our second biggest brush, more compact bristles, use a deeper shadow in the crease and a little bit above the crease. Remember blend. Blend, blend, blend, blend. The deepest color will be the really plum color, try to get a matte color. Close. And right along the lash line, go right along the lash line. So we're talking about really defining and highlighting those green eyes with colors that are really going to make them pop. Look up. Take that same deep color, sweep it underneath the eye but not into the corner. Just keep it to about where the iris ends. And blend. What we're doing here is avoiding a real harsh straight lined look just by blending. I'm going to use a black mascara in most cases. If you are more comfortable with a brown mascara that's fine too, but I really like a black mascara with green eyes because it brings out the darkness in the pupil. Really highlights the eyes."
