"Hi I'm James with JNC Home Repair and today's topic is how to sharpen a saw. One thing that I want to let you know is there is no way that you can actually sharpen a saw. The only thing that you can do is replace the blade. They sell varieties of different blades for different saws and it is just physically impossible to sharpen one and that is why they sell replacement blades and today we are going to demonstrate on actually how to change a blade. You can see here on this sawzaw that this blade here is kind of wore out. If you were to try to sharpen that, it is physically impossible. There is just no way. You would spend more time and effort than even if there was a way to try to sharpen it it is just cheaper and more effective just to replace the blade. It doesn't matter if you have got a sawzaw, a skillsaw, a hacksaw or any kind of saw, it doesn't matter what it is. It is just physically impossible to sharpen one so basically I'm just going to show you how to replace the blade. Today we have got a sawzaw. On this particular sawzaw you can see right here that there is a button. There is a button that shows the blade and all you do is you just lift up that button and you pull the blade out. You'll see that it has got a little bitty hole in it and it has got a little tab and all these sawzaw blades are basically all the same. This one is just a different length but the base of it is exactly the same. They are designed to where that fits in a little groove and there is a little pin that fits through that little hole and all you do is you just lift that up, go ahead and stick your blade down in the little groove, make sure it pops into place, pop your button and your blade is in and that is how you sharpen a saw."
