How to Buy the Right Doorknob

"Hi I'm James with JNC Home Repair and today I'm going to tell you how to buy the right door knob. Basically all door knobs are basically all the same. There is just a little variation as far as the diameter and the hole that is drilled inside the door but there is actually an adjustment inside your door knob that you buy where you can just click the little button and adjust it to the right size but more often than not it is just that they are all basically the same size. The only thing to really consider is just the preference and the style that you prefer. If you, you know a lot of older homes they all have like brass door knobs and brass dead bolts and a lot of people these days are trying to get away from that look and they're going to a more like a brushed nickel type or maybe like a stainless steel type and it is just basically preference. What do you prefer, what kind of look are you going for? When you are buying a door knob you may also want to consider that you want it to match your door hinges as far as appearance goes. You don't want to have brass hinges and a brushed nickel door knob. It is just going to clash. It is not going to look very well as far as appearance goes and basically that is the only thing to consider when you are buying a door knob is just basically preference, whatever you prefer."
