"Hi, I'm Jay French at JayFrenchStudios.com. I'm going to show you how to draw some medieval things. Alright, there are lots of things that you can draw, for medieval things. But we're going to start with a treasure chest. I'm going to assume that, you probably don't want to learn how to draw any medieval style. As art was in medieval times. Because that was pretty much, very simplistic. You just want to be able to draw, cool medieval things. For whatever purpose. So, now other than it not matching your other style. You can generally be pretty scratchy in drawing medieval objects. Because that gives you the impression of an ancient feel. So you can get away with that. And in a treasure chest, you want to put a border on each edge. Make it look very strong. Get your latch in here. And this is a good shape to remember as a Fleur de Lis. Where you saw in medieval drawing. This is a classic Fleur de Lis. We can just use the hand sometimes. As I've done here. Put some bolts, at the corners and maybe at the bottom. And then, this area is wood. So we'll darken it in. And then add some planks to it. Now let's put a sword, laying up against it, in the side. Of course, there are many, many styles of swords. But medieval, will do. A good crusader, broad sword here. It's generally are bracketed. We'll use our little Fleur de Lis, again. At the tip and at the head. Usually wrapped in cloth or made of wood, sometimes. Crusader's words. Handles much smaller than blade. And can be wrapped in many ways. We'll do a little cross deal here and put a little button. At the center, which will make it look like a royal sword. Pommel can be almost anything. We're going to make it a big, flat disk. Which is also a classic, English crusader device or a sword. And remember that when the sword's going to be carried, it's going to be a lot broader, in the blade area. And that's how to draw a few medieval things."
