"Coach Rudy, I've won championships both as a coach and as a player and let's talk about how to improve your shooting arc. Now financially if you can afford it there is a machine available at your local sporting good store that will help you do this but I'm more old school than that so let me teach you a couple of ways about how to do it without having to spend a dime. Get a little brother or little sister or a buddy to come out and bring a broom, have them hold the broom up and you shoot the ball over the broom. Go to all your shooting spots, have them play defense on you, have them get in their defensive position, take about a step away from you and you try to get the ball over the broom. Another way to do it if you have a little brother or a little sister is have them bring out a chair, stand them on the chair and have them put their hands up. Go to your shooting positions, catch or dribble the ball to your shooting position, shoot the ball over their outstretched arms. Those are the two ways that I know how to improve your arc without spending a dime. Have a buddy or a kid brother or sister with a broom or put a buddy or a sister in a chair and shoot over them. Both of those work really well. Try to improve your arc because chances are eventually you are going to be played be a defender who is going to be taller than you."
