"Coach Rudy, here. I've won championships as both a coach and a player. Today we're going to talk about the flex offense. All right, now, flex is designed for two reasons. To create mismatches, and it's used against teams that switch on the man to man defense. All right, so, there's a few different variations of flex. I'll just show you a couple. First one is, guard brings the ball down the floor, and picks a side. These players come over, set screens, this one comes top, this one goes back door. Ball goes inside, turn, look for the back door if it's there, great, if you got a shot, shoot it, or look inside for the post up, shoot the layup, throw it over the top for the alley-oop, if you want to do that. If not, get it back out, reset, these guys come over, go that way, these guys set screens, same things happen, this guy comes free throw, back door, they try and switch on it, over the top for the alley-oop if you want. Go inside if you can get that. It not, kick out for the three, go to the corner. If not, restart it, come back, and do it all over again. All right, that's called a flex."
