"Hi I'm Jay French at jayfrenchstudios.com and I'm going to show you how to draw Bart Simpson's face. Alright to draw Bart we want to start out with a long rectangle essentially, curved on the bottom, trust me on this because that is most of his face. From about even less than the halfway point you'll have his lower jaw, grinning style, very stylized. Now you go a little lower than halfway and that is where the eyes are. You have got to remember that the outer one has to break the barrier of the rectangle. They are fairly even size wise although the eye, the pupils, kind of look in opposite directions, again part of that distinctive style. Now the nose we will come back and this is where you will come back to some erasing again, is kind of a tubed shaped or a sideways view and then you'll erase where it is overlapping that eye. Now this is fairly straightforward and it comes out and curves to make the smile, give him his little smile line, a tiny little ear over here. You can erase that or if you are going to ink it just ignore it up to the top and here is a very distinctive part that I have missed and he actually does have a bit of a brow ridge showing there. Then we have our curvy Bart Simpson hairstyle which was very in vogue in the early 90's and that is how you start with drawing Bart Simpson."
