"So you need to lose some weight, and you know you need to get some exercise in. In order to do that though, you know you've got to set some goals. Hi, I'm Jani Roberts, I'm a Nationally Certified Personal Trainer, and also a graduate of the American Academy of Nutrition. And I'm going to share some ideas with you, and make some suggestions, as to how you can set some weight loss goals that will work for you. First of all, you need a time frame. And this of course is going to be based on how much weight it is that you need to lose. Let's say you need to lose 40 pounds, and lets be realistic, lets do it over 4 months. Let's do this once and for all, so you never have to do it again, and you can keep the weight off. Sound good? So, first 30 days our goal is going to be between 10 and 15 pounds. Those first pounds are always the easiest to lose. As we get closer to our goal weight, it can be a little bit more challenging, so you'll see the goal reduce actually as the plan moves forward. By the end of 60 days, we've lost an additional 10 to 12, by 90 days, we've lost an additional 8 to 10, and then by the time you've hit that goal in 4 months, you'll be up to your goal weight, and you'll have lost the balance of pounds that you need to lose. Of course diet and exercise play a huge part, so be sure to have that plan in place as well. You've got to set goals. Take it in small steps. And whatever you do, just get started. You can lose weight, by setting those goals. I'm Jani Roberts, thanks for joining."
