"Have you been working hard to really get your nutrition right and yet not really seeing the reduction in body fat that you would like to see through your nutritional changes? Hi my name is Jani Roberts and I'm a Certified Personal Trainer and also a graduate of the American Academy of Nutrition. Today I would like to share some ideas with you of how you actually can lose that body fat through good nutritional changes. First of all it is important to remember that it is the quality of the calories that you are eating not necessarily the quantity. In addition you may really be reducing the number of calories but what form of calories are you reducing? Were they already a poor choice of food? If so we need to replace those with good caloric intake. So for example let's say you used to have cereal for breakfast and it was something processed, something that really didn't have nutritional value. Typical processed morning cereal, and you switched from that to a bagel thinking that that would be a better choice when in reality if that bagel is also very processed, just simple white flour, white sugar product, you really haven't moved in the right direction even though it would seem like a better choice, it can be a little deceiving. Now let's take that scenario and let's move you from a processed cereal or a white flour product into a whole grain like a whole grain oatmeal. Now we have introduced something that is a complex carbohydrate, it is high in fiber, and it is really going to keep that blood sugar stable for a long time. Now by being high in fiber this is really the key. By using nutrition and eating foods that are whole, more whole in their form, so think less processed, less processed, trust me. Most foods that come in a box or a bag are processed. What they do is they refine the fiber out, they process the fiber out of the food because the fiber is the life force of the food and it will make the food rot quicker which means it will have a shorter self life. So when you start walking into those foods that have a high fiber content, you are getting more nutritional value for your dollar and magic word body fat will come down because the job of fiber in the fiber in the blood stream is to sweep all that excess fat and toxins so yes you absolutely can lose body fat through good nutrition. I'm Jani Roberts. Thanks for joining."
