"Let's talk about how a beauty queen makes money. Most beauty queens just don't go into being a beauty queen because of the money because preparations for a beauty queen are quite pricey and we have to buy a big wardrobe and a big load of shoes and makeup and that kind of thing and they're are very pricey. So the prize money won't cover the price tag on our preparation. Preparations for a pageant mainly cost more than the grand prize so you won't be making a profit money wise immediately. So how we make money is we meet new people and we make new contacts who can enhance our modeling career or in my case entertainment career and that's how we make money. We find jobs through these people and that's how we make our living."
