You highlight the sheet and then you go data, o.k, maybe it's tools, protection, and then protect sheet. It's asking what you want to protect, I'm choosing contents, objects, scenarios, password, you can choose to enter a password, or if you don't want to, you don't have to, click o.k. Now, this sheet is protected, how do I know? I'm going to try to delete this cell, it won't let me cause it's protected. And, that's how you protect a sheet in Excel from modification.
