"Hi, I'm a person that's always had bad handwriting, and the one thing that's worse than my handwriting, is when my printer doesn't even print right. My name's James, computer hardware training coordinator for InterConnection, and I'm sure to clean your ink-jet printer. When you're cleaning your ink-jet printer, there's really not too much to do. You can clean the outside of it aesthetically, and you can probably use a little dust off, maybe a little, small vacuum to clean out all the dust from the paper feeding through it. Aside from that, there's really not too much to do on these modern printers. One thing I do tell people, stay away from, is cleaning and touching the contacts. These cartridges are very sensitive, and if you use a Q-tip, or any type of cleaning device on them, you can leave fibers on here, which can actually damage the cartridge. So, I just say, clean your "sof", clean your cartridges, using a software, such as Windows XP, with a clean print cartridge, setting in there, and clean the outside of it, just as you'd clean any other household appliance. Aside from that, just leave the cover closed, and print away. I'm James, computer hardware training coordinator for InterConnection."
