"My name's James, computer hardware trainer coordinator for InterConnection and I'm going to show you how to clean your laser printer. The first step in cleaning your printer, especially a laser printer, is I like to take the cartridge out just because there might be some goo in there or some dust from all the paper that's been fed through the machine. So, I'll take this out, just pulling it out like so, set it aside, from there I get a good look inside the machine, if you'd like you can take a vacuum, like the little vacuum attachment you have on your home vacuum or a shop vacuum, and you can go ahead and vacuum out any dust, debris, anything you see like that you see in here and any smudges that you see anywhere. You can just take a good old cloth, you can put a little rubbing alcohol on there, if you want, just clean it off. In this machines case, it's actually pretty clean, go ahead and close it up here, clean it, it looks pretty good. Now we're going to go ahead and reinsert our cartridge, this will just slide right in. Close the printer, check the paper tray, sometimes there can be some dust in here that can settle because it's the lowest point. This one, if we want to get this goo off the side, I'd recommend a little rubbing alcohol but for our purposes, it's fine. Go ahead and put the last bits of paper in there, close it up and we got a little dirt off that printer. If we wanted to, we could go back with some rubbing alcohol and get that thing real spic and span. My name is James, I just showed you how to clean your laser printer."
