"One of the coolest things about having an iPod is to be able to play your DVD movies on it. Hi, I'm Rokosz, your digital lifestyle expert, and I'm going to show you how to get your DVD movies into your iPod. Well, first thing you have to do is, go ahead and put your movie in to your DVDR. Now, here's the trick, is that DVD movies are encoded in a final format that are for DVD players or DVD Roms, only. You have to crack the code. You have to break the files into a format like an MP4 that iTunes can recognize and readily use. For that, you're going to need a converter program, like, Hand Break or Instant Hand Break, all right? These are a lot of times free or share-ware style programs. Find the best one for your platform, whether it be PC or Mac, and then just follow those instructions. Usually, it's as simple as putting the disc in and saying, "Hey, these are the files I want to convert from DVD over to", and it doesn't even say your M peg, Mpeg2, Mpeg3, Mpeg4, it says, "Hey, I want to put it onto my iPod", or iPhone has different ones for each to maximize it. You've gotta break it, iTunes does not natively handle it unless you download the movie directly from iTunes. So, if you're buying a new movie, and you only view it digitally, that may be a good way to do it. But if you're like me, you've got hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of movies that you've got, and you may want to watch on your portable device, like the iPod. So, use a program like Hand Break, break it, so you can use it in a usable format for your iPod. Just do a search, it'll come to you quickly. Once there, it's just as simple as adding any other file. I'm going to go down here to finder. I'm going to find it. In this case we're going to load in The West Wing. I'm going to move it right over here to my library. When I click over to the devices, and see that. It's copying The West Wing into the library there. When I sink it, it's going to be there, and I get to jam out to The West Wing. I'm Rokosz, your digital lifestyle expert saying, "Stream ya later.""
