"In this clip we're going to talk about the proper service procedure to replace your engine's timing belt and water pump. In this step, we're going to talk about the proper service procedure for jacking your vehicle up and placing your jack stand. I'm going to go ahead and aim for the sub frame on the vehicle which is located underneath here and slide back to approximately a third of the way down the door and shoot straight in for it. This is the vehicle's sub frame right here. It's one of the most sturdy parts and it's a great spot for your jack location. I'm going to go ahead and tighten up my release screw and begin jacking the vehicle up. Just going to go ahead and jack the vehicle up until we get the front tire off of the ground. Once the front tire free spins, you have it high enough. Now depending on the size of your jack stand, you may actually have to go higher to get them to fit. As you can see, mine are a pretty large size, so I'm going to have to go up another couple of inches in order to get that to go under there. What you're aiming for is the vehicle's pinch weld. That this piece of metal right here. It's a real good sturdy spot and a great place to put your jack stand. Put it right underneath there, just like so and release the tension on your floor jack very slowly so the vehicle settles down onto the cup of the jack stand. Just like so. That is the proper service procedure for jacking your vehicle and placing your jack stand. Once you have the vehicle set on your jack stand you can go ahead and spin off your lug nuts using your four way. Set them on right like that and give it a spin. You're going to want to set your lug nuts aside in a magnetic tray or in one specific location so you avoid kicking them around and losing them during service. There is no specific pattern for unscrewing your lug nuts. Just go ahead and work your way right around. It's not recommended to use any kind of lubricant, WD-40 or things of that nature, just due to the possibility of the lug nuts working loose from the lubrication as you drive. So it's best off to just muscle through the rust and take your time. Alright once you have all the lug nuts removed, you can go ahead and remove the tire. Now it may be seized on its seat. If it is froze up, you're going to have to strike it with your palm. It's a good idea to hit it right here on the rubber, just like so. You can see how it popped loose. We'll take it off and roll it out of the way for later re-installation. That is the proper service procedure for jacking your vehicle, placing your jack stand and removing your tire."
