"So, you're going to get responses and people are going to send you head shots and resumes. And the head shots are usually like this. You know, on the front is a photo, and hopefully they'll actually look like the photo. Most of the time they do. Sometimes an actor will come in and you're like, now who are you? And they're like, oh I'm so and so on the photo. And you look at them and the photo and it's like two different people. And then on the back they usually have, you know, their contact information, their height, their weight, other things that they've been in, you'll ask them to know if they've acted in other things, so. You know, that's all their basically the resume stapled on the back of the head shot. And you want to go through them in when I was doing it, I was looking for a specific types, you know, I had in my mind what they should look like. So that's kind of how I base my first preliminary thing going through the head shot. So basically, somebody will look like a character I put them in a pile. And that's how they do it. And if they didn't fit at all I would just put it in another pile and maybe for a future project. But, you know, I was definitely going on how they look. Because I'm basic, I'm looking for types. And based on that, you start calling people and setting up the auditions."
