"Here we're standing at the Heldenplatz or "hero's square". It's part of the new burg or new castle. Behind us is where the Hapsburg's lived. This was build in the late 19th century. It's only half finished, the other half should be over there, a oval-shaped place just like this one. Because of World War I, it was never completed. You have The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier here. In this building behind me you have the National Library and the Museum. Up in this balcony behind is where Hitler made his first address after the Anschluss in 1938. The square here was full of screaming Austrians greeting him. You have two statues here. One of them is Prince Argan and the other is Franz. Franz was the first general to defeat Napoleon. Prince Argan served three different emperors or empresses. The first one was Maria Theresa and he was her main general against the Turks when they tried to take Vienna."
