"Hi my name is Michael Quebec. I'm here at the Heritage Kickboxing Gym in Union City and today's subject is how to throw a front kick in Tae-Kwon-Do. Well it's funny that we're calling it a front kick because I'm going to throw it from my rear leg. I'm going to have one foot back and I'm going to have the hands up. From here I'm going to bring my knee up high and then I'm going to throw it out. So here it is. I'm going to throw my front kick off of the rear foot from the side position. Okay, bring the knee up, pushing the hip out. Notice I thrust the hip out for maximum power. You also notice that the striking area is the ball of the foot. So I'm pulling my toes back so I can hit with the ball, right here ball of the foot. Let me demonstrate that on the kicking bag right here. Having the hands up, bringing the knee out, thrusting the hip forward. Again. And I throw the whole hip into it. That is the way I perform a front kick in Tae-Kwon-Do. My name is Michael Quebec here at the Heritage Gym and that's the front kick. Tae-Kwon_Do. Thank you."
