"Welcome to my studio today. My name is Lars-Erik Robinson, I'm an illustrator. I thought we'd talk about how to do a fairy. Fairies are always popular item that a lot of people on the streets want to draw characters like. What you want to start with is you basically have to know the anatomy of a body and have the kind of looking like they're floating in the air. So to create that, you want to think of lighter lines and make it look like they are floating. This is a very much a fantasy type of drawing. So we start with the eyes. Try to get nice eyes. Get to know her nose. Then we have the hand coming down here. Maybe she is holding the little pixie stick with the fairy dust coming up here. Have fun, you know. Try to be creative with it. The little hand here and we got the body coming down. The dress, they always have the dress at the end of it. It's always usually cut off. Maybe that's a Peter Pan kind of inspiration I got that from. The leg going back. Once again maybe prospective. This hand is maybe going back in because this one is more towards you. Little pinkie out there. And here's the wings. And those, those lines going to have to be a little bit light too. And me and my light, I don't know. You have to try to create atmosphere and that usually happens. And now you must think, oh, the lines make it look so harsh and that's where you can add a little shadows to it. Because we don't have much time today to get into how you start out things. But you look at the shape, circle. You look at the square body and then you go down with the shape. And it really helps taking an anatomy courses and drawing from life. Well, I hope that explains to you guys how to do a fairy. They're flying in the wind! Thanks for joining me guys. Have a good day."
