How to Draw an Eagle

"Welcome to my studio today, everybody. My name is Lars Robinson and in my studio here, I'm going to try to demonstrate to you how to draw an eagle. And I've always started here, to demonstrate to you guys how to draw an eagle, and what I try to do is I try to understand what kind of environment anything is in. What kind of mood I want my fine art, or my illustration to demonstrate. If this was an illustration it would usually be something that you're trying to sell, that you're say that's for your client. But this is a fine art piece, you just want to try to create a nice mood, that somebody might like to have this hanging in their house. So, let's try to do a piece that you would think would be in somebody's house, so maybe this one is sitting up by the water, and it's sitting here just looking around and he kind of has this look like oh I'm satisfied with life, but, eagles are beautiful and they have a big, bold, bold body, the wings are strong. And then it ends here, darker at the back of it. So you got to think about the shadows, you got to think about how things fold and when you do your marks, when you're drawing an eagle, think about the direction that it's standing in, and that's anything, anything you do when you draw, you try to get the strokes to go with the body of it. So this gives you an example how to draw an eagle. You have the eye, the big...so you start with the eye, you start with the nose of the bird, and then move down and try to create the atmosphere.
