"Hi, my name is Chris. I'm with Aquatic Central here in San Francisco and on the web at Aquatic-Central.com and I'd like to tell you how to wash a goldfish bowl. Now, generally, you don't need to actually wash a goldfish bowl completely. Usually what we'll just do is, with a little bit of water inside, take a rag and wipe down the sides. Now if for some reason it is desired that you want to completely wash a bowl, neutralize it for fear of some kind of disease spreading or etc., etc., ideally what you'll do is just take some hot water, run it under the sink like such. And, again, just take your sponge, mechanical sponge, and wash it down. And then rinse it thoroughly with hot water. Now in case you feel that that will not be enough you actually can go ahead and use some sort of detergent or chemical cleaner to wash the bowl. Just be imperative to do very, very thorough rinsing with hot water afterwards and in addition to possibly using a water conditioner to possibly remove some of the leftover or residual chlorine or chloramine that might be stuck to the glass. Again, it's very simple to wash a goldfish bowl and it's only necessary to wash it entirely if you feel that there's an emergency. But, in general, you can wash it, or scrub it down once a month just to remove unsightly algae from the walls. My name is Chris. I'm with Aquatic Central here in San Francisco and on the web at Aquatic-Central.com."
