"Hi this is Jason Macgenious and we are going to talk about networking computers today. As you can see up here in the airport wireless, we've got some different networks here. When you first open a Mac book or a Mac book pro, or you have any Mac actually with wireless, it's going to have the icon up here. Click here we go. It's going to scan and pick up different networks. So we are connected to the Lakes network right here and we are just going to show that. And also you can also go in here and if you want to, if you connect one computer to another computer, we got an Ethernet cable here and so what we are going to do is we are going to create a network, and we are going to name it test network. And as far as options, you really don't have to worry about options if you don't worry about encrypting much, I mean if it's just you and another computer and it's a person you trust. Don't worry about that. You can enable the encryption and put in passwords. But that's not necessary. So for our test network we are going to say ok. And you can see up here the icon changes in the wireless network, it looks like a little tiny Mac and if you click on it, you'll see that we are connected into the test network. And so I'm going to go over to my other computer here. So on my computer here, we have turn Airport on and we are going to leave it off right now because since we are hardwired to the other computer, what I'm going to do is I'm going to go, go to connect to server, and I'm going to hit browse, and then right here, you can see Bing Hugh's computer, Bing Hugh drop box. And I dropped my movie from our last little session on there. You can see that there. So that's basically an Ethernet direct computer to computer connection. So basically what you have is you have wireless connection and wired connection for computer to computer. And if you use the wired connection you are going to need Ethernet cable, all Macs have built in Ethernets so you just connect Ethernet port, Ethernet port on the computer, you're done. Also the wireless connection you just click on your Airport icon like we did earlier and it'll continuously scan for different Airport networks and you just choose which one you want to connect to. It's as easy as that on a Mac. I'm Jason Macgenious talk to you later."
