"Hi I am Jason previous Mac genius and today we are going to talk about uninstalling software in a Macintosh. On system X when you get a package of software and you are installing it the installer software will pretty much open up and guide you through how to install it and a lot of software does not come with uninstall so really what you need to do is just find the actual application and files associated with it and drag those to the trash. That is pretty much how you uninstall stuff. So what we are going to do is we are going to go to the Capture Me Software here which is in our applications folder and I'm going to drag that to the trash like that and then I am going to go up here to the search field in that same window and type in capture me and we can see here there is a P list which is basically kind of a preference files list and I am going to contextual click on that. So I am going to go ahead and right click on this or control click and I'm going to pull up move to trash. That way I can get rid of that right from within here and we are going to close our window and we are going to empty the trash. That is effectively how you uninstall software on a Mac on system X. Like I said some of the software will come with uninstall files that will actually go in and uninstall all the files associated with that program or that application but pretty much dragging that application folder and the files associated with it to the trash is how you do it. I'm Jason, previous Mac genius. I'll see you next time."
