"Hi, I'm Jason previous Mac Genius and what we're going to do today. Is show you how to add application to your start up folder on Mac OS 10. This is Tiger specific but it also works across the platform in 10. It just looks a little different but the terminology is the same. So you can follow along if you have Leopard but I'm doing this in Tiger. Just so you know. So I'm going to go to our system preferences and I'm going to choose accounts under our system field there and we've got password picture. Log in items and parental controls. I'm going to click on log in items and these applications all start up. When the computer starts up it's self and I want to add an application to that. So what I'm going to do is go into the applications folder and I'm going to scroll down. Until I see, I show you. Which is what we're using to screen capture this and I'm going to add that and you'll see it added right down here and we don't need to worry about hiding it. We can go ahead and launch that at start up and I'm going to close that and what we're going to do is I'm going to ahead and shut down the computer now and when we come back up. We should have this program right down here. I show you launched. I'll see you in a second. Alright so we are going to quit that and restart. It's starting up. Alright as we're starting up. We're going to see, yes there we go. We got our bouncing icon on the dock. I show you is launching as we speak. As I speak as you watch and it's a good thing we launched that cause we we're going to go ahead and start our screen capture. For part two of that. OK, so what we want to do is we saw. That the actual I'll show you application. As with any application you put in there. Will start up if you put that in there and I want to take it back out. So we're going to go to our system preferences. System account. Log in items and we are going to click one time on I show you and hit the subtract button there and it takes it out and it's as easy as that. So I'm Jason previous Mac Genius and that is how you add and take away an application. For start up. Thanks for watching."
