"Now the best thing about dropping in is that you pretty much get to pick your foot positioning while doing your first drop in. So, you get to pick a good place for your back foot to be, and of course, a good place for your front foot to be. So, while you're doing this, you're going to want to put your foot nice and horizontal, right about above the front trucks, or the two mounting hardware that are in the back on the front truck, and you're going to want to put them at a ninety degree angle. Now, the most important thing when you're dropping in is to remember that what you need to do is get the board on to the surface of the ramp. So you need to get your front wheels on to the ramp. Most people are worried about leaning too far forward, but this usually isn't a problem. In my experience, I haven't seen too many people lean too far forward. When they do lean too far forward, it's because they're feet are on the board in the wrong way, or they're bailing off from the trick. So, if you just lean forward a lot, probably a little more than you think you should, and just commit and follow through with the maneuver, and really try as hard as you can, you're probably going to be able to drop in and make it. So, remember, the most important part is getting these two front wheels from here all the way down to touch the transition of the ramp, because after this point, basically you're just rolling away, or you're just rolling on the surface of the ramp. So you want to get from tail position to rolling position as quickly as you can, and then follow through with it. And that's how you drop in on a ramp.
