Now I'm here to explain how to do a backside 180 kickflip. Backside kickflips are a pretty fun trick to do. But like any flip trick, they require a lot of patience. This isn't the type of trick that you'll learn in one day for sure. Now once you've learned how to do backside 180 ollies and you've got your kickflips really good, you're ready to combine the two. Now what you do for a clean backside 180 kickflip is you setup with your toe on the tip of the tail because you want to get as much pop out of the tail as you can. After that you're going to want to swing your shoulders in a backside motion meaning the way that you can't see, almost a blindside direction. Now the shoulders are definitely in charge of getting this trick all the way around. So the more swing you put into the trick the better. And the more pop you put into the tail. Now you're going to imagine hitting the tail and going backside 180 and flipping the board so you're going to want to send your toe out past the nose and have it come up to your feet and then land and roll away backwards. Now at first you're going to find that the backside 180 kickflip is going to pivot just a little bit. By you landing on the nose a little more and finishing the rotation of the 180, but the desired backside kickflip doing a clean one, is going to mean you popping it enough so that it goes around and it lands and then you continue rolling without any tick tack or turning in there. And that's going to be a really good feeling version of the backside kicklfip. And that is how you do a backside 180 kickflip. My name is Shawn Connolly and I'm from San Francisco, California. I'm a sponsored skateboarder and I also run a program for youth called SF Skate Club. You can learn more about it at sfskateclub.com."
