"Hi. I'm Chris Murray, and I'm going to give you some tips on how to strike a soccer ball with power. Striking a soccer ball with power is important when playing, because it'll give you an edge over the goalkeeper. Being able to strike a ball with power puts the goalkeeper at a disadvantage, because he has less of a reaction time. When striking a ball with power, you should always remember to use your laces, the top part of your foot. By using your laces, it offers a hard spot to hit the ball and also a big area to strike the ball cleanly with. When striking the ball with power, your plant foot should be close to the ball, your foot should come through the ball with your knee over the ball, and strike through the ball and land on your kicking foot. By landing on your kicking foot, it offers your bodyweight to go through the ball, causing more power to be driven through the ball. Again, I'll show you that your plant foot should be next to the ball; your kicking foot comes through, toe down, allowing you to strike the ball with your laces, knee over the ball; and then you land on your kicking foot. And those are just some tips on how to strike a soccer ball with power."
