"My name is Dr. Endre Sos and I will tell you hopefully how to train a rabbit. First of all it is very important to tell that some rabbits never learn how to use the litter box and these are best kept outside in a hutch, it is just a waste of time to train them but these are a minority. Most of the rabbits can be taught how to use the litter and while it is very important that rabbits usually pick up one area, usually a corner and they use it as a toilet. If you are patient then you can try to train them to use this area as a litter box. To start it you keep your rabbit in a cage and use a place and put an older cake pan in the corner and the rabbit can use it to choose to urinate. You put plain clay litter or recycled newspaper here and even paper pads in this pan and you let the rabbit go out from the cage especially if he uses the litter properly. If you have some time and you can give the animal more time what can be spent out with playing after using the litter pan in the next few days the animal will likely associate with the substance you are using with the litter and the time which is spent outside so generally you need a lot of patience and it cannot be done in every animal."
