"Hello. My name is Zephyr Clarke-Dolberg from Miami Dog Training. In this clip we're going to teach you how to train a dog. And first thing you need to know is you always want to be consistent and repetitive. Consistency and repetition is your biggest friend. So, as you can see here, we're going to teach her the automatic sit. Toughie heel. When I stop, she sits. Heel. Notice I always step forward with my left foot. Consistency. Heel. Sit. Good. Heel. Good. Notice when, soon as that butts hit the ground I'm praising the dog. Good sit and good heel. Heel. Good sit. Good girl. Consistency, repetition and praise. One thing to bear in mind is every dog is not a German shepherd. And some dogs need a little more patience than others. German shepherds particularly like to work. So sometimes boxers and bulldogs might need a little more repetition and a little more consistency. But you can get it and just work with it. Just be patient. This is Zephyr Clarke-Dolberg and this has been how to train a dog."
