"Hello my name is Zephyr Clarke-Dolberg from Miami Dog Training. In this clip we're going to talk about how to house train your dog. Preferably for me the best answer is the crate. Because dogs are naturally den animals as well as they are pack animals. So having a nice closed in space makes them feel secure. And as puppies the best way to take charge of their environment is to confine them to a smaller space. Now the crates serves for a few purposes, one is that it stops them from moving around quite as much, which stops the metabolism from making them have to go to the bathroom quite so frequently. So by putting them in the crate and limiting their movement, we can accomplish that. Also, is a secure environment for them as well as dogs don't like to go to the bathroom where they sleep and eat. Come on Rocko, into your house. In your house Rocko, come on. And if they resist let them know who's boss by continuing and winning that battle. This is Zephyr Clarke-Dolberg, and this has been how to house train your dog."
